USCC Heads to ‘Motor City’

1 Mins read

On Saturday, round 5 of the 2015 Tudor United SportsCar Championship will take place at The Raceway at Belle Isle, in Detroit, MI. The Chevrolet Sports Car Classic may be one of the shortest races on the calendar, at just 1h40, but it is definitely one of the most prestigious, with many manufacturers competing for the win just a few minutes away from their head offices.

For the first time, this year’s race will feature Prototype Challenge (PC) cars, along with the Prototype (P) and GT Daytona (GTD) classes. The GT Le Mans class will be absent from this weekend’s event, as some teams will be taking part in the Official Le Mans Test Day ahead of the French 24 Hour endurance race in June.

This weekend will be a packed one for American motorsports fans, with the Tudor USCC joining the IndyCar Series for two races at the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, as well as a pair of Pirelli World Challenge races.

The Chevrolet Sports Car Classic will take place on Saturday from 12:05 to 13:45 ET (17:05 to 18:45 UK time).
