BoP Changes for Corvette DPs at Road America

1 Mins read

The Corvette Daytona Prototypes that have so far dominated the 2015 Tudor United SportsCar Championship have been restricted with Balance of Performance updates ahead of the next round, the Continental Tire Road Race Showcase at Road America.

As the leading car in the Prototype class, it has had six of seven wins so far this season, and these updates will effect the Action Express, Wayne Taylor and VisitFlorida.com squads.

Specifically, the cars will have a 10kg minimum weight increase and an air restrictor reduced by 0.3mm.

Furthermore, the Ferrari F458 Italia and Porsche 911 RSR models in the GT Le Mans category are set to lose 10kg of weight. The former will have a taller rear wing, and for the latter, a reduced gurney height.

The event at Wisconsin’s Road America will take place on August 9.
