The 2015-2016 Formula Gulf 1000 champion will earn a Formula 3 test with Campos Racing for the second consecutive season as part of a partnership with the team and GulfSport Racing.
The winning driver from the series based in the Middle East will test one of Campos Racing’s Dallara 312 models, as well as being given the opportunity to work on the team’s professional racing simulator, and will also be a participate in three days at the Campos Academy to prepare them for the test both physically and mentally.
“We are delighted to be able to carry on our partnership with Campos Racing for a second season,” said Martin Hope, the Managing Partner of Formula Gulf. “With 30 drivers from 15 countries having come through the Formula Gulf training program the benefit to the championships home territory drivers is obvious.
“However our partnership with Campos Racing now makes it clear that the benefits are being realized further a field into Europe. Campos Racing’s junior drivers will now be able to engage in a full winter racing/training program with Formula Gulf, while back in Europe their competitors will be struggling to just hunt down some dry testing laps, the advantages are clear!
