Botka Unveils New Car For ERC Season

Reigning ERC2 champion David Botka has unveiled the car he will contest the 2016 FIA European Rally Championship in. The Hungarian driver will take the wheel of the ex- Stéphane Lefebvre  Citroen DS3 R5 and plans to compete on selected events of the ERC’s main class this season.

Botka has already competed in the car having entered the Rally Show Santa Domenica in Croatia in late November finishing second. He also contested Rallye Mikulas in Hungary finishing sixth 5 seconds off the event winner. The Hungarian won three events on the 2015 ERC2 series on his way to winning the championship outright in his Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX

Botka will start his campaign on the season opener Rally Liepaja in Latvia from 5-7 of February, the Hungarian finished fifth in class in 2015.

The ERC2 champion will be co-driven by fellow countryman Péter Szeles on his 2016 championship assault.
