Hibbert To Launch Full Supercup Campaign After Positive Debut

1 Mins read

Tom Hibbert will contest a full season in the 2016 Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup, following a positive series debut at the end of last season

The 28 year old returned to racing in 2015 following a seven year hiatus, electing to purchase a Ginetta G55 GT4 after watching the Supercup during a BTCC race weekend

After passing his ARDS test and entering some rounds of the GT Cup to gain the signatures required to upgrade his license, Hibbert made his Supercup debut at Silverstone

After finishing fifteenth in his first ever race, Hibbert went on to secure eleventh, thirteenth and fourteenth place finishes at the Brands Hatch GP season finale

“I am really looking forward to a full season in the 2016 Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup!” said Hibbert.

“The G55 is an incredible car to drive and it’s a very competitive championship. Racing in the last two rounds of 2015 really gave me and the team a taste for it. We are excited for the challenge ahead!”
