Callum Pointon will make a full-time switch to the Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup this season with Total Control Racing.
Pointon was a front-runner in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge for the past three years, with 2015 seeing him mount a championship challenge against James Kellett and Ollie Chadwick.
The 22 year old finished the year third in the standings with TCR, with double wins at Spa-Francorchamps and Donington Park amongst seventeen podium finishes through the year.
Alongside his Challenge exploits, Pointon also made his first appearances in the Supercup with outings at Oulton Park, Silverstone and Brands Hatch.
Pointon would collect three top ten finishes in his seven races, including a best of ninth in the penultimate meeting of the season at Silverstone.
“I’m thrilled to be back with Ginetta and it’s great to be making the step up to the next level,” said Pointon.
“Whilst all the series are well run and incredibly competitive, the G55 GT4 is an awesome car and it’s the right move at the right time to further my driving career.
“I’m hoping we can be competitive form the first round, and I’ll be aiming to pick up a trophy or two throughout the year!”
