Tom Wrigley says he is “delighted with our performances” after producing a perfect weekend in the Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup at Oulton Park.
The Rob Boston Racing ace took a clean sweep of pole positions, race wins and fastest laps in Cheshire to increase his early championship lead to 63 points.
Wrigley set the tone for the weekend by qualifying his Rednal Karting and Bundlestars-backed Ginetta G55 on pole by almost four tenths of a second.
That was converted into a lights-to-flag victory in the opening race, despite him having to battle some braking and gear changes problems throughout the race.
With the problems fixed for race two, the 23 year old would produce another textbook drive in race two to secure his sixth win in the first eight races of the season.
“It was another absolutely perfect weekend, with pole position, both race wins and the fastest laps,” said Wrigley.
“We had some troubles in the first race which made it hard work, but I was really able to control the gap in race two and I’m delighted with our performances.
“Rob [Boston] is a fantastic engineer and himself and the whole team are doing a superb job with the car. We’re really on a roll at the moment.
“With all the experience I’m gaining in each race weekend, I’m confident we can go to Snetterton and have another really good weekend.”
The Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup has now entered an eight week break ahead of the next rounds at Snetterton on July 30/31.
