Former Renault UK Clio Cup champion Josh Files has continued his impressive maiden season in the ADAC TCR Germany series by securing a fifth win of the campaign this past weekend at Nurburgring.
The success means Files, who won both the UK and Eurocup Clio titles in 2013, currently tops the championship standings with Target Competition by an increased margin of fifty points with four races of the inaugural campaign remaining.
The Nurburgring weekend saw a success ballast laden Files take victory in the opening race and then a third place finish in race two – results which are added to three previous wins at Oschersleben and a single success at Red Bull Ring.
The 2016 ADAC TCR Germany season concludes with visits to Zandvoort (20/21 August) and Hockenheim (1/2 October), with it possible for Files to wrap up the title next weekend in his Honda Civic.
