What does Tom Kristensen do with his spare time these days? Drive an Audi, of course.
The nine-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner recently got the chance to get back behind the wheel of a four ringed sportscar, to help mark the opening of Audi’s new performance centre in Abu Dhabi.
Since his retirement from racing in 2014, Kristensen has remained heavily involved with the Audi Sport operation, working as a brand ambassador and helping to develop the marque’s current crop of factory drivers.
In this video, Kristensen swaps his more familiar LMP1 seat for a ride in the GT3-spec Audi R8 LMS around Dubai Autodrome.
