The ADAC has confirmed that they are planning to run the iconic Nürburgring 24 Hours from May 10-13 next season, which currently causes a potential calendar clash with the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup.

The forty-sixth edition of the endurance classic has been moved forward by two weeks in comparison to the last two years, and in doing means a potential clash the second round of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup at Silverstone.

With teams running in both series it could cause a potential logistical nightmare as they try to share drivers between races, or prioritise which race they will partake in.

The ACO Series calendars are still to announced for the 2018 season, meaning there is potential for even more clashes between the top-level sportscar series.

It is understood that SRO Motorsports Group is working on an alternative date for the Silverstone meeting in a view to avoid the clash.
