James Dorlin is determined to taste victory this weekend at Rockingham as he heads into a “crucial stage” of the Renault UK Clio Cup title battle.

The Vantage Motor Group and GardX Protection-backed racer is firmly in championship contention following five consecutive race wins earlier in the season.

A puncture at Croft and a mistake while leading at Snetterton lost him ground though, with a 25 point deficit to leader Max Coates with dropped scores in account.

Rockingham wasn’t the best of weekend’s for Dorlin last season, so he’s ready to banish those demons and add to his podium successes so far.

“Rockingham is an important event for us in that we’re now into the final few rounds of the Renault UK Clio Cup season and the title is still very much within reach,” said Dorlin.

“The plan is to go out and gain as many points as possible whilst also hopefully adding to our tally of race victories. I have the best team around me to get the job done.

“It’s a crucial stage in the season, but we’re in good shape for what lies ahead.”
