Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup race-winner Harry King produced a star performance in a guest outing in the Ginetta G40 Cup at Brands Hatch.

King joined his Supercup team Elite Motorsport in making their debut in the category around the Grand Prix circuit in support of the British GT Championship.

A week on from a double victory in the Supercup at Snetterton, King was behind the wheel of a G40 like he raced in the Ginetta Juniors for the past two seasons.

Setting the pace in qualifying by eight tenths of a second, King would streak to dominant wins in the first two races with fastest laps as well.

The Holyport teenager would start eighth in the reverse grid final race, but worked his way into the lead by the halfway mark and stormed to victory.

“I’m very pleased with how the weekend unfolded,” he said. “Right from Friday I was comfortable in the car and adapted to the H-pattern gearbox quickly.

“Qualifying was beyond my expectations but I knew the races were going to be far from relaxed. I managed to get the gap in each of them and take the victory.

“It was an unforgettable experience and is something I will remember for a long time.”

King returns to Supercup action this weekend (11/12 August) at Rockingham.
