Roy Alderslade is all set to race in the Ginetta G40 Cup with Want2Race Motorsport for the fast approaching 2019 season. Last season Alderslade teamed up with W2R Motorsport towards the end of the 2018 campaign; where he stepped up at Donington to the Ginetta G40 Cup.

In stepping up Alderslade had to overcome more experienced drivers which didn’t hinder him as he qualified as the second fastest overall at Donington. Alderslade shall continue running with W2R Motorsport for 2019 in the Ginetta G40 Cup.

Roy Alderslade said,“I am looking forward to get back racing. It feels like a long break since we last competed in Ginetta G40 Cup at Donnington Park. I’m looking forward to the hustle on the race track for my first full season in the G40 Cup with support from Woodford Heating.

“I am pleased to join Ben Hyland’s W2R Motorsport team, he runs a professional set up that I believe has become a benchmark for other teams. After some close encounters, it would be great to get some podiums chalked up this year, though of course I won’t be the only one with these aspirations!”

Ben Hyland, team principal added, “We’re very excited to have Roy joining the team for 2019. He came on quickly as a driver when running with us at the end of last year, both in GRDC and during his hugely impressive debut in the Ginetta G40 Cup, qualifying on the front row.

“Roy is a great bloke, he fits nicely into the team and we’re going to enjoy racing with him this year. He’s a good prospect for the season ahead, I anticipate he’ll be right up there battling at the front of the pack and for wins in the Chairmans Cup.”
