The ‘Magic Weekend’ at Höljes in Sweden which will host round 5 of the season on 3-5 July now sees additional two new classes to be run as support races.
As the World RX of Russia got cancelled earlier, the all-new Projekt E electric rallycross series got moved to Sweden to host the third round of five which will be run throughout the season.
Projekt E is an all-electric class, the new class is a collaboration between STARD and the World RX promoter IMG to take the step forward into electrification of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The cars are equipped with STARD’s own powertrain ‘REVelution’ which will produce up to 450kW (approx. 613BHP) and 1100nM. Older World RX rallycross cars can be fitted with these new systems.
Also for the first time ever, the Höljes round will hold a national class race alongside the World RX. The Swedish and Norwegian Supernational class will run as a support race like in the old days. This will be a man to man fight to collect points.
The Supernational class will be run on Friday as the event-opener, where older rallycross cars can be seen battling it all out on the world-famous venue.
