Hitech GP have announced that they will be joining the BRDC British F3 for the 2020 season.
The team have announced they plan enter the season, running two cars, with the drivers to be announced in due course. The team will begin the season at Oulton Park on 1-2 August as the rescheduled championship commences.
Hitech have seen a range of drivers drivers progress through their ranks, including the 2017 British F3 champion Enaam Ahmed and the current Williams F1 driver George Russell who drove with the team and won the series when it was known as the BRDC British F4.
The Hitech GP BRDC British F3 programme will be overseen by Phil Blow, who has led Hitech’s F3 Asian Championship campaign since 2018.
“We are delighted to be joining the BRDC British F3 programme this season, despite being slightly up against it since we are a late entry to the grid. It will be a new challenge for us, but we are looking forward to making our debut at Oulton Park in August,” said Oliver Oakes, Hitech Team Principal.
The British F3 season is set to resume 1-2 August after a revised calendar was created due to the paused Coronavirus period.
