The Team75 Motorsport entry that is run by two time World Endurance Championship title winner Timo Bernhard, have revealed that they will not be participating in the Total Spa 24 Hours that is due to run in October.
Having raced the event as a one off entry for the past 3 years, finishing twelfth last year with Earl Bamber and Laurens Vanthoor, the team hoped to improve their result this year. Bernhard however has said that the new October date and the changes to the ADAC GT Masters calendar has meant that it will not be taking one of their Porsches to compete in the jewel of the GT World Challenge Europe crown.
Bernhard spoke to Motorsport.com and said; “It was planned and we were signed in already, but we have now had to withdraw,”
“We have decided already that we can’t do it because of the new schedules, it is in the middle of two GT Masters races, which made it difficult logistically.
“In the past there was a two-month gap in the GT Masters calendar and we could fill that with a proper go at winning Spa, but now the calendar is too jammed.”
