The organisers together with the FIA and the ERC promoter Eurosport, have worked out a strategy that makes it possible to run a rally.

The latest additions to the the registration list include two drivers that are entered under the Hyundai Motorsports banner, the Spanish FIA World Rally Championship and Hyundai works driver Dani Sordo and French WRC driver Pierre Louis Loubet.

The Rally de Capital Roma is fast approaching and the interest in the event organised by Motorsport Italia is growing as it is decided in the districts around the capital Rome, this will also be the first round for the Italian Rally Championship.

But the two Hyundai drivers will not contest the actual ERC round, instead they are entered in the Rally Stars event. They are not eligble to claim trohpies or points within ERC and the Italian Rally Championship.

Beside the two i20 Coupé WRC cars, Craig Breen and Callum Devine are also both entered in the ERC in a pair of i20 R5 cars under the MRF Tyres banner.
