Polish FIA European Rally Championship debutant Adam Stec will be flying the Polish flag at the season-opener held at the Rally di Roma Capitale this weekend.
For the event, the Polish driver has been asked for advice from a fellow countryman on how to tackle the smooth Italian tarmac stages – the former ERC2 competitor Wojciech Chuchała.
Also for his debut rally this weekend in the championship, Stec will have M-Sport Poland customer support team member Kamil Kozdroń as his co-driver in the former Ford Fiesta R5 that the fellow Polish ERC regular Jarosław Kołtun used last season for his 2019 campaign.
“We appreciate the co-operation with Wojciech Chuchała, who is not only a talented rally driver, but also a great trainer with extensive substantive knowledge and teaching skills,” Stec said when he spoke about his talented co-driver.
Last weekend, Stec and Chuchała completed a testing day in preparation for the weekend and to help gain important experience ahead of the ERC season opener in Italy.
“Last weekend we worked together with the team on the optimal set-up of the car and gained more certainty behind the wheel of the R5 on winding asphalt sections,” he added.
Kołtun has also entered the event in the same class in a newer Ford Fiesta R5 MKII under the PLON RT banner.
