Adrienn Vogel said she had a “fantastic weekend” after finishing fifth in the ERC3 class of Rally di Roma Capitale.
Vogel and co-driver Ivett Notheisz were the only ERC Ladies Trophy competitors to make it to the finish of the Rome-based event which played host to the opening round of the 2020 FIA Euroepan Rally Championship.
Driving a brand-new Ford Fiesta Rally 4, the pair finished the rally in 44th overall and after crossing the finish line on Sunday evening she explained: “We are over the moon! We are so happy with our win in the ERC Ladies Trophy and P5 in ERC3.”
“We came here to learn and we’ve gained a lot of experience, but I know I still have a long way to go to keep improving, especially in this really tough field. My co-driver was amazing and helped me a lot and I’m so thankful to her work.”

The Hungarian driver went on to add about the event and the challenges it faced following the coronavirus crisis: “We’ve followed the news during the COVID-19 pandemic and we are really sorry for what has happened in Italy, so we are glad to have been able to attend this amazing event in this beautiful country.”
“We would like to thank the organizers and the medical staff for protecting our health with the steps they’ve taken such as the body heat monitoring checks and ensuring everything was disinfected throughout the weekend.”
“We are going home with unforgettable memories and we hope that we were able to give something to the nice local people for their kindness and support.”
Vogel and Notheisz were one of several crews who made their first international appearance in the new-for-2020 Rally 4 cars, with M-Sport Ford and Peugeot Sport both having examples of their new represented on the tarmac rally.
