Charlie Eastwood secured fastest time in the second Intelligent Money British GT Silverstone 500 free practice session this morning after a late flurry of times shuffled the order.

Eastwood, who shares the #7 Beechdean Aston Martin with Andrew Howard, lead the way in a session while not matching the pace of the earlier session, proved a lot more closer with the top 13 covered by just 0.9 seconds.

Yelmer Buurman and RAM Racing looked set to make it two from two and both of their cars occupied the top positions at the half way point of the session, but they ducked out early to conserve tyres for qualifying and it left the door open for the chasing pack to take the top positions.

Jonny Adam in the #1 Garage 59 Aston Martin was once again second fastest 0.157 seconds down on Eastwood, with the returning #19 Balfe Motorsports McLaren of Rob Bell and Shaun Balfe rounding out the top three.

Sandy Mitchell went fifth fastest and quickest of the three main title contenders in the #78 Barwell Lamborghini Huracan he shares with Rob Collard just 0.023 seconds ahead of early pacesetter Buurman.

In GTC Ferrari remained on top with Phil Quaife putting the Scott Sport car he shares with John Dhillon ahead of the FF Corse version driven by Laurent de Meeus and Jamie Stanley.

After finishing second in GT4 in Free Practice One, the #23 Speedworks Toyota Supra grabbed top spot in after James Kell and Sam Smelt took turns at the top of the timesheets.

Smelt’s effort put him just clear of Jamie Caroline/Dan Vaughan’s TF Sport Aston Martin, with the sister car of Patrick Kibble/Connor O’Brien right behind in third.
