The winner of the 2021 Motorsport UK Junior British Rally Championship will receive the unique chance to compete in a Hyundai i20 Rally2 car on a World Rally.
Teaming up with Hyundai Motorsport Customer Racing, the British Rally Championship will have use of the latest specification i20 Rally2 car on a European round of the World Rally Championship in 2022.
The Junior British Rally Championship (JBRC) moves to an open formula in 2021, allowing under 26-year-olds to compete in a wide variety of cars from the Rally4 and R2 categories to score points. With the British Rally Championship (BRC) having a rich history of being a proving ground for young drivers looking to make their first steps into European and World Rallying, this prize will give the 2021 JBRC champion a chance to compete on the very same stages as previous BRC drivers Elfyn Evans and Craig Breen.
Championship manager Iain Campbell said, “The Motorsport UK British Rally Championship is delighted to offer this amazing prize in association with Hyundai Motorsport Customer Racing.
“We are always very eager to ensure young and talented drivers in the British Championship are recognised and have a platform to be able to showcase their skills and have an opportunity to receive career-defining opportunities.
“Thanks to the backing of the championship, Hyundai Motorsport and our supporters, we can offer yet another fantastic prize for our Junior winners”.
The 2021 Motorsport UK British Rally Championship starts on 31 May with the Neil Howard Stages in assoc. with Graham Coffey & Co. Solicitors at Oulton Park Circuit, Cheshire.
