The newly formed Maximum Networks with Motus One will be joining the 2022 Intelligent Money British GT Championship in the GT4 Pro-Am category as the first official entry, with a McLaren 570S GT4 backed by Maximum Networks.

For the 2022 campaign the team will be fielding a sole car for the series’ debutant driver duo of Stewart Lines and Will Powell. The 2020 Ginetta GT4 Supercup Am class champion Lines will only be focusing on GT Racing this year after last year been racing in the British Touring Car Championship, VW Racing Cup and done some outtings in Britcar.

“It’s great to be able to promote Maximum Networks, which specialises in providing business telecoms services, to a new British GT audience and I believe we will be a competitive entry against the young guns in GT4,” Lines said.

“The fact that TCR UK is now supporting the championship is the ideal alignment of business interests to make racing here a viable option. I’m looking forward to the season.”

Motus One driver Powell is the reigning Britcar Endurance champion as he drove the team’s McLaren 650S GT3 with Dave Scaramanga. He has previously been driving for Maximum Motorsport in the Touring Car Trophy, last year with a Hyundai i30N TCR.

I’m delighted we’ve been able to put a full-season entry together at the highest level of GT racing in the UK. Stewart and I have often talked about teaming up. Our racing and business commitments have finally aligned for 2022, so now is the time. The team will be working hard over the winter to give us a competitive GT4 car from the off next season.” Powell said.
