Grand Slam for Chadwick as she Takes Third 2022 Victory in Spain

It was the perfect birthday weekend for 24-year-old Jenner Racing driver Jamie Chadwick as she took home her third win of the W Series 2022 season at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, also picking up the race’s fastest lap.

Chadwick was able to get off the line well, holding off both Alice Powell and Abbi Pulling for most of the race. She crossed the chequered flag with a 0.526-second gap between fellow Brit and Racing X driver, Pulling.

17-year-old Pulling managed to overtake her mentor Powell at the start of the race and moved herself up into second position, applying the pressure onto reigning champion Chadwick by staying within a second of her until the end.

The top three drivers pulled away from the rest of the field, all trying to maintain their tyres in the heat of the Barcelona track. Due to such high temperatures, many drivers were limited in pace which meant Chadwick was able to maintain her strong start, turning her pole position into another victory.

Emma Kimilainen drove somewhat of a lonely race as she pulled away from Beitske Visser, coming fourth behind the all-British 1-2-3 finish.
