McLaren claimed another pole position for round 4 of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship, Enduro Motorsport with Morgan Tillbrook and Marcus Clutton topping their respective sessions in the GT3 class. Steller Motorsport took the front spot in GT4 in the hands of Richard Williams and Sennan Fielding, making it 3 pole positions in 4 events.

2 Seas Motorsport took second place overall with James Cottingham and Lewis Williamson beating the Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini of Adam Balon and Sandy Mitchell by 0.098 of a second with a combined best time of 2:53.129, just 0.383 back from the Enduro Motorsport McLaren.

Darren Turner produced a new qualifying lap record in his GT4 qualifying session (1:34.001), with times combined with Matt Topham good enough to secure second position and first in Pro-Am with a time of 3:08.985, 0.254 seconds behind the pole position Steller Motorsport Audi. Josh Miller and Jamie Day took third position in the Aston Martin Vantage, 0.005 seconds ahead of the Academy Motorsport Mustang on combined times with a 3:09.522.

The top six in GT3 were split by 0.3 seconds after the first 10-minute qualifying session, however, the gap would have been larger had Morgan Tillbrook’s two fastest times not been removed for breaching track limits. That said, Tillbrook still managed to go fastest by 0.009 over Ian Loggie in the Ram Racing Mercedes on his final flying lap with a time of 1:27.286. James Cottingham was right in the mix throughout the claiming third at the halfway point.

Marcus Clutton took over the Enduro Motorsport McLaren for the second half of qualifying, quickly setting a time of 1:25.460. Both the 2 Seas Mercedes and the Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini pushed hard but were unable to get within two-tenths of pole position. Ram Racing took fourth place, James Dorlin put the Redline Racing Lamborghini in fifth, half a tenth ahead of Sam Neary in the Team Abba Racing Mercedes. As a result of penalties from previous rounds, the Redline Lamborghini will start in 10th after a five-place grid drop. Balfe Motorsport finished off in seventh but thanks to the Redline penalty, they will line up alongside Team Abba. John Ferguson and Ulysse de Pauw will start in seventh now, with the WPI Motorsport Lamborghini in eighth and the Assetto Motorsport Bentley in ninth.

Richard Williams and Sennan Fielding secured yet another pole position, the duo dominating the rest of the field. The Steller Motorsport duo were helped by some of the competition having issues. The Team Parker Racing Porsche Cayman lost power and lapped six seconds off the pace, removing them from contention.

Josh Miller set the early benchmark in the R Racing Aston Martin with Freddie Tomlinson just 0.063 behind in the Assetto Motorsport Ginetta. Williams responded with a lap time half a second faster than Miller to jump to the top of the standings. Miller fought back, but could only finish 0.16s behind the Audi with a time of 1:34.688. At the halfway point, the Steller Audi, R Racing Aston Martin, and Assetto Motorsport Ginetta were just 0.2 seconds apart, with Matt Topham just outside the top three, 0.36 seconds behind the Audi.

With Le Mans legend Darren Turner at the wheel, the tables were turned, the Newbridge Aston Martin secured a new qualifying record with a time of 1:34.001 but with Sennan Fielding just two tenths behind, and with the times from the sessions combined, the Steller Audi took pole by just 0.254 with a time of 3:08.731. Jamie Day helped seal third spot for the R Racing Aston, 0.005 up on the Matt Cowley and Marco Signoretti Academy Motorsport Ford Mustang. Wrapping up the top five, was Tom Edgar and Jordan Collard in the Toyota Gazoo Racing UK GR Supra with Ross Wylie and Matthew Graham taking sixth in the Valluga Racing Porsche.

Jack Brown and Will Burns will line up on the fourth row alongside the sister BMW M4 of Tom Rawlings and Chris Salkeld. The Assetto Motorsport Ginetta suffered from electrical problems in the second session meaning they finished ninth overall. Ashely Marshall and Mo Ritson rounded out the top 10 in the Paddock Motorsport McLaren 570S GT4. Seb Hopkins put in a stunning lap in the Team Parker Cayman, just 0.076 slower than Darren Turner. However, with the issues in the first session, it was not enough to lift them out of last spot on the grid.
