Following a National Court hearing which took place on Tuesday 17 May 2022, the results of the 2022 Intelligent Money British GT Championship rounds at Oulton Park and Silverstone have been finalised and confirmed. Ram Racing’s appeal against the result of Race 2 at Oulton Park was upheld by the court meaning the results and points published after the race have now been amended.

The #6 Ram Racing Mercedes reclaims first place whilst the Balfe Motorsport #22 Audi takes second place, Fox Motorsport’s #50 McLaren moves to ninth after Success Penalties applied at the line dropped the cars to fifth, sixth and tenth respectively. The #11 Paddock Motorsport McLaren moved into third after originally taking the win.

The Court’s judgement that pitstop time penalties were not to be applied after the race also impacted GT4. The #42 Steller Motorsport Audi, jumps up to first place, with both the #27 Newbridge Motorsport and the #90 Century Motorsport dropped down the order. The R Racing Aston Martin Vantage now takes fifth, swapping places with the Valluga Racing #51 Porsche. The Team Parker Racing #65 Porsche Cayman also jumped back ahead of the #68 Team BRIT McLaren.

Success Penalties applied to Oulton’s revised top three finishers from Race 2 resulted in the Steller Motorsport Audi changing classification to fourth due to the 20-second success penalty.

With results and points for the opening three rounds now official, Success Penalties will be applied as normal during the next round at Donington Park on 28-29 May. Silverstone’s top-three full-season GT3 finishers remain unchanged. However, Valluga will now serve 15 seconds and Steller 10 seconds after swapping positions at Silverstone. RAM’s Ian Loggie and Jules Gounon are now tied at the top of the GT3 standings with Balfe’s Shaun Balfe and Adam Carroll, while Steller’s Richard Williams and Sennan Fielding lead the GT4 drivers’ championship.
