Going into the session, 2 Seas were favourites for pole after some strong lap times in Free Practice, however, it was Ram Racing that dominated both sessions, Ian Loggie taking pole position in session one for the #6 car and De Pauw taking pole position for session 2 in the #15 car. Michael Igoe and Flick Haigh took early pole positions, but the 2018 champion went faster again as the session neared the end. Loggie secured a last minute pole position though going 0.048 seconds quicker with a time of 1:48.189. A mistake on the final lap for James Cottingham cost him pole position but it was enough to secure third place, 0.089 seconds behind pole.

Michael Igoe took fourth, the highest placed Lamborghini and they’re in prime position to take maximum points in the first race, given pitstop Success Penalties for the Ram Racing Mercedes and the #4 2 Seas car along with the #75 car not being eligible for points due to the race-by-race entry status.

Adam Balon would have started the race on the third row however, with a five place grid penalty suffered by Sandy Mitchell at Donington, the duo will now start 10th, which means the Asseto Motorsport Bentley will start fifth with Mark Sansom at the wheel, and in Silver-Am pole position. It’s McLaren in sixth and seventh with Morgan Tillbrook in the Enduro Motorsport car and Nick Halstead in the Fox Motorsport 720S ahead of Richard Neary in the Team Abba Racing Mercedes, Alex Malykhin in the Red Line Racing Lamborghini and the Barwell Motorsport Huracan rounding out the top 10.

In Qualifying two, De Pauw led after the first round of flying laps, setting the lap record in his second run with a time of 1:45.858, going half a second ahead of the competition. Callum Macleod responded later in the session, cutting the half second gap down to two tenths before Lewis Williamson took second place with a time of 1:45.971. Jonny Adam took fourth place on the grid ahead of Sandy Mitchell who rounded out the top 5 with a time of 1:46.434.
