After running a majority of the 2022 schedule for Venturini Motorsports, Jesse Love announced that he will move into a full-time slate for the team, and compete for the championship in 2023. Love earned his first win for the team at Salem Speedway in 2021, and again at the Illinois State Fairgrounds Racetrack in 2022.
The two-time ARCA Menards Series West champion, he holds the record as the youngest winner in a NASCAR-sanctioned race, at the age of 15 years, 5 months, and 13 days, as well as being the youngest driver to win a championship, at 15 years, 9 months, and 24 days.
“I’m really looking forward to this year with my No. 20 team,” stated Love during a press release. “We have a great team built around our No. 20 car. Billy and Shannon provide the opportunity to have the best team and best car going to the race track every weekend which is a big advantage. We also know our strengths and weaknesses, so we have a great starting point for 2023.”
Love drove 14 races for the team in 2022, running at all the tracks that he was eligible in. He would help the team by earning second place in the owner’s points that year. Because he will turn 18 on 14 January, Love will be granted eligibility to run at every track this season. To prepare, Love will partake in ARCA’s pre-race practice session at Daytona International Speedway in the upcoming week.
Shannon Rursch will return as the crew chief for Love. The ARCA Menards Series season-opener will kick off with the Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona International Speedway on 18 February.
