ARCA releases entry list for Daytona; the biggest field since 2017

2 Mins read

For the first time since 2017, the ARCA Menards Series will have a full field for the upcoming race at Daytona, as 41 drivers are entered.

Fast Track Racing will field three cars: the No. 10 for Ed Pompa, the No. 11 for Bryce Haugeberg, and the No. 12 for Zach Herrin. Andrés Pérez de Lara, who will run the entire ARCA schedule for Rev Racing starting at Phoenix, is listed as the driver of the No. 01 car. Since Pérez isn’t eligible to race at Daytona, he will run a practice lap before withdrawing from the race, and will keep his 50 bonus points from last season.

The Venturini Motorsports lineup will consist of Amber Balcaen, Jesse Love, Gus Dean, and Toni Breidinger. Venturini has won the season-opener race for the past three years, and hopes to increase their streak.

Lavar Scott and Jack Wood will join Rev Racing‘s lineup for this race. Scott previously ran late model races for the team in the previous years, and will be making his debut in the series, along with running a full season in the East Series. Wood will be running select races in the No. 6 car throughout the season, along with running a part-time season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for Kyle Busch Motorsports.

More notable entries include Frankie Muniz, the actor known for starring in the TV sitcom, “Malcolm in the Middle.” This will be his first race of the year as part of his full-time effort with Rette Jones Racing. Andy Jankowiak will return with a newly rebranded team, KLAS Motorsports. Mandy Chick, who’s father owned a truck series team in the early 2000s, will also be another full-time driver making her debut at Daytona. Other full-time drivers entered are Christian Rose, Greg Van Alst, Tony Cosentino, Brad Smith, and Jon Garrett.

“It’s gratifying to see a large entry list of drivers and teams entered to compete in our season opener,” stated the president of ARCA, Ron Drager. “We have seen a lot of positive momentum in the last two years, the direct result of really hard work by everyone in our company. The ARCA platform has been a home for racers who have decided this is where they want to make their living, and a developmental platform where young, emerging talent can gain valuable experience as they pursue a career in the NASCAR national series. Our Daytona entry list is a great mix of both, the career ARCA racers and those still developing their skill.
