Both Daniel Ricciardo and Narain Karthikeyan managed to out-qualify the two Virgin Racing drivers today in India yet they will start behind Jerome D’Ambrosio after each receiving a five-place grid penalty.

Williams are hopeful of picking up some points tomorrow in India after Pastor Maldonado qualified fourteenth and Rubens Barrichello sixteenth. Thanks to a five place grid penalty for Vitaly Petrov, both drivers will start one place higher than where they qualified.
