2010 BTCC Preview: Pirtek Racing – Vauxhall Vectra

1 Mins read

#77 Andrew Jordan

Jordan returns home to the family run team after a year spent with Vauxhall alongside Fabrizio Giovanardi and Matt Neal.

It was with father Mike that Jordan made his BTCC debut in 2008, at the wheel of a Team Eurotech Honda Integra, ending the season with a brace of third place finishes.

2009 saw the move to Vauxhall and was part of a Vauxhall 1, 2, 3 at Thruxton, the weekend after the announcement that they were pulling out of the BTCC.

Jordan became the youngest ever pole sitter when he took pole position for the opening race of the weekend at Donington Park, before taking second place in the opening race.

The maiden win still eludes Jordan, something he will look to put right during the 2010 season.

Jordan, like Pinkney, will be using the NGTC engine in his Vauxhall Vectra during the 2010 season.

Season Prediction:

Jordan is back in an environment which he knows, and with the new NGTC engine, should fly once the engine is fully up to speed. The maiden win will soon happen once everything is up to speed.

TCF Driver Prediction:

Jordan: 9th. Lack of a team mate and new engine will cause some problems; experienced team around him will help get the maximum out of the car though.

First BTCC victory will be a springboard to a solid season.
