Manor To Run As Virgin F1 in 2010?

1 Mins read

According to reports circulating the F1 paddock at Monza this weekend, the new Manor F1 team which is set to make it’s debut in 2010 will run as the Virgin F1 team.

With Virgin holding a 20 percent stake in the team rumour has it that this will include full naming rights for the team.

Talking to GPWeek Virgin Boss Sir Richard Branson said “I’m not going to stand in Brawn [Hospitality] and talk about anything except what a sunny, delightful first and second Brawn has had, and obviously we’re delighted to be principil sponsor for the whole of the season.”

“Next year we will… well, watch this space” he said, before continuing “I will be in Abu Dhabi and we will talk further then.”

So with Branson’s reluctance to talk about the Virgin name being on the Brawn GP cars for 2010 and talk of Abu Dhabi, it looks set that we wont know anything for sure until the the 2009 season finale.
