Barrichello set for Williams move

1 Mins read

Rubens Barrichello has confirmed he will make the switch from current team Brawn GP to Williams for next season, according to TV Globo.

Barrichello told Brazilian reporter Luciano Burti that the move would go ahead, although no deal has been signed yet. His management confirmed they were currently in talks with the Grove-based team, and the proposed deal would last for two years.

This also indirectly confirms rumours of Nico Rosberg moving to Brawn, effectively a direct swap between the two teams.

Barrichello is expected to partner current GP2 champion Nico Hülkenberg at Williams, and will bring invaluable experience to the team, something Engineering Director Patrick Head said was a must for the team in 2010.
