Al Harthy Satisfied With Qualifying Performance

1 Mins read

Ahmad Al Harthy was happy with his qualifying performance today after securing the fourth fastest time in the pro-am 1 class for both of this weekend’s races at Croft.

Fresh from his 24 hours of Le Mans support race experience the 28-year-old put in solid performance to lap the 2.12 mile circuit with a fastest time of 1:23.863, followed by his second fastest time of 1:23.952.

“Qualifying was the fastest I've been all weekend so that's very positive, it shows we're improving each time we're on track”, said Al Harthy, “We know we have good race pace and I'm happy where I am on the grid, I think we can have two good races from there to be honest. If we can bang in consistent laps in the races, we should do well.”

Al Harthy’s Croft weekend almost didn’t happen after an accident at the Circuit de la Sarthe meant a brand new shell was needed on his Porsche. “The team got the new shell for the car on Monday morning, they've worked unbelievably hard to get everything ready for this weekend. I want to thank all of them for doing such a fantastic job for me.”
