Porsche Carrera Cup GB regular Archie Hamilton will be switching his focus to sportscars for the rest of the season as he looks ahead to the 2011 season.
Strong performances in the Redline Porsche this year have seen Hamilton regularly on the Pro-Am1 podium. Earlier this year he also took part in the French Carrera Cup as a guest when the series supported the Le Mans 24 hour race.
With several options available, he will be looking to refresh his experience in high downforce cars before testing an LMP car.

“This season was a big leap for me and the Porsche has taught me a great deal so far.” admits Hamilton. “My progress has been faster than anyone expected so it's brought forward opportunities that we weren't expecting.
“I've still got lots to learn so we've decided to use the rest of the season to get experience in cars that may be the right move for next year. A full season in Porsche may still be the right move but by getting out in a variety of cars I'll have a better idea of what's going to be the best route for me. Hopefully my programme for the rest of the year will be finalised within the next two weeks.”
