Andy Grant secured second place in the Quaife MSA British Rallycross Championship with victory in the final round of the 2010 season at Pembrey last weekend.
The Ford Focus driver went to Pembrey embroiled in a three way battle for second place with David Binks and Andy Scott, and came out on top of the battle after winning the Supercar A final.
Scott had begun the weekend in determined fashion, but driveshaft problems halted his progress, leaving Binks and Grant to battle it out in the A final.
Grant battled with Pat Doran, and eventually moved past the champion to take second, before setting his sights on the leader Mike Manning, who retired due to a water pipe breakage on the final lap, handing the victory, and second place in the championship, to Grant.
Binks drove a solid A final, moving through the field to finish second, but it was to no avail, as Grant claimed the runner-up spot in the 2010 standings.
