Lynch wanting to thank his team at Pembrey

1 Mins read

Having clinched second place in the Suzuki Swift Sport Rallycross Championship last time out at Blyton, Tony Lynch wants to thank his team for all their hard work throughout the year by claiming the same spot in the team’s standings at the season finale at Pembrey this weekend

Lynch’s team, Team Geriatric, is currently in a four way battle for second place with Steve Hill Motorsport, Doran Motorsport and Scott Electrical, and he wants to secure second place and show his massive gratitude to his team with the result.

Entry in the series in the 2010 season was a last minute one, with the team working night-and-day to prepare the car for competition.

Of the battle for second, Lynch said “It was great to wrap up second place behind Dave Bellerby at Blyton, but its still all to play for for the team this weekend. The likes of Steve Hill Motorsport and Doran Motorsport are top teams and if we can secure second place in that kind of company then it will be a job well done”.

“Considering how late everything came together at the start of the year, this has been a great season for us and I want to go out at Pembrey and get a good result for the boys. They've done a brilliant job for me all season and without them, I wouldn't even be in a position to go out and race”, added Lynch.

Concluding, Lynch said “I might be the one driving the car on track, but this is a team game so I want to do it for them”.
