Mix of speed and experience key – Speedworks’ Christian Dick

1 Mins read

Cheshire based GT team, Speedworks Motorsport are confident of a strong placing ahead of the start of today's Britcar 24 hour race. Having clinched the British G4 Championship last weekend at Brands Hatch, the team are looking for more success today. And, with a line-up that combines experience with raw talent, Team Principal Christian Dick was in buoyant mood ahead of the race.

“I'm really happy with all of the driver's performance so far this weekend. They're all closely matched, despite the mix of experience. Coming here we had an idea of what times we'd like the drivers to be doing and they're all excelling,” said Dick.

“I think we're in good shape for the race and with Piers starting, we should make up a few places before the handover.”

While Piers Johnson is the most experienced driver in the team, having raced everything from Vauxhall Astra's to Lamborghini Gallardo's in his twenty year racing career, talented youngsters Emily Fletcher and Christina Holley should be watched closely as both are keen to spring a surprise on their more experienced rivals. However, it is only Johnson who has driven in a 24 hour race.
