Lotus Racing have today confirmed that Bulgarian Vladimir Arabadzhiev and Venezuelan Rodolfo González will share a T127 for the young drivers’ test next week in Abu Dhabi.
González, who should be familiar with followers of both the GP2 and GP2 Asia series, will be in the car on Tuesday next week, and some of Wednesday.
Arabadzhiev, who also participated in the 2009-10 GP2 Asia Series, will take over testing duties for the afternoon session on the Wednesday.
Riad Asmat, Lotus Racing CEO, gave his comments on the driver selection. “We are very pleased to have confirmed that Rodolfo and Vladimir will be driving for us in Abu Dhabi,” he said. “They both come from countries with growing interest in motorsport, and the chance to give emerging drivers the opportunity to step up to Formula Oneâ„¢ is central to the Lotus Racing philosophy of embracing young talent.
