Pagenaud Part Of HPD Engine Development

1 Mins read

A successful season in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) behind him Frenchman Simon Pagenaud is now part of the team developing the new 2011 LMP2 engine built by Honda Performance Development, an endeavour which will see him back behind the wheel of the HPD ARX01-C that took he and David Brabham to the title.

“It is a really interesting program to be a part of with the new V6 from HPD,” said Pagenaud, who will conduct a two day test at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC.

“The engine showed a lot of potential at the first test and I am looking forward to getting back in the car as the HPD guys are very happy with some of the improvements that have been made.”

“I love racing, but playing a part in the development process for a program like this is certainly very interesting and I think it helps you become a more complete driver by being a part of technical development.”
