Sunoco Appointed Control Fuel Supplier For Britcar

1 Mins read

Anglo-American Oil Company, through Sunoco Race Fuels, has been appointed by Britcar as the control fuel supplier for the body's series, including the Britcar MSA British Endurance Championship.

The company, which also supplies the British GT and F3 championships has supported Britcar in the past, including at 2010's Britcar 24 Hours at Silverstone, where the company's workers delivered fuel drums to garages throughout the event.

“It's fantastic that Britcar have chosen us as their control fuel supplier,” said Anders Hildebrand, MD of Anglo American Oil. “We have for many years supported the Britcar series at their race weekends as their official fuel supplier and are now delighted to step up our commitment to a control fuel supplier status and further develop our great relationship.”

The link-up also makes drivers from the British Endurance Championship eligible for the Sunoco Rolex 24 at Daytona Challenge. The competition pits drivers from Sunoco fuelled series – also including British GT, F3 and Radical UK Cup – against each other for the chance to win a chance to race in the Rolex 24 at Daytona – a glorious opportunity for the endurance racers the newly MSA sanctioned series is likely to attract.

“I would like to say a big thank you to AAOIL for recognising our drivers' abilities,” James Tucker, MD of Britcar said, “and that they are of a world class level to potentially compete in a world class race.”

The new link-up is a step up in Sunoco's support of Britcar, Sunoco's logo emblazoned on the flag that greeted the Britcar 24 Hour winners
