Juta Racing Stays For Two Car Porsche Carrera Cup Assault

1 Mins read

Juta Racing is set to return to the Porsche Carrera Cup GB grid in 2011, fielding a two car team for Jonas Gelzinis and Tautvydas Barstys. After being new to British Motorsport in 2010, the team are looking to push up the grid in their second season.

Lead driver Gelzinis made an instant impression in his debut season, taking five pro-am1 race wins on his way to finishing runner up in the class. He is looking to go one better in 2011 and says “It will be much easier now that I know all of the circuits.”

Barstys also enjoyed a solid debut season and will be aiming to use the experience gained to move his way up the grid. Waiting in the wings for Juta is Jonas' younger brother Ignis Gelzinis, who will fill in the car if Lithuanian businessman Barstys is forced to miss any races.

The team are once again going to base its truck and cars in the UK, commuting from Lithuania for the race weekends.
