Team Lotus ‘delighted’ with high court decision

1 Mins read

Team Lotus are ‘delighted’ with yesterday’s high court judgement to settle the naming row with Group Lotus in a full trial on 21st March.

In a press release, the team said that Mr Justice Peter Smith‘s decision to throw out Group Lotus’ application at Monday’s Summary Judgement Application – which, if successful, would have meant that a full trial was not necessary – was never in doubt, but that it was good to have the ruling ‘in black and white’.

The decision allows the team to start the 2011 season in Bahrain on 13th March under the Team Lotus name.

Team Lotus ‘remain confident’ that they will be successful at the full trial.
