Multiple British Rallycross champion Tony Lynch will use this weekend’s Autosport International Show in Birmingham to officially unveil the Suzuki Swift machine he will steer in this year’s Swift Sport Rallycross Championship.
Lynch, from Westhoughton near Wigan, will again run with his Team Geriatric setup, but with major sponsorship from Lucas Oils for the entire 2011 season.
The Lucas Oils liveried Swift will take pride of place on the Lucas Oil stand at the Autosport International Show this weekend, and spectators with access to the Fifth Gear Live Action Arena will be able to see Lynch in action in a Peter Gwynne Motorsport run Suzuki Swift.
The show is at the NEC in Birmingham from the 13th to 16th January 2011, with the first two days restricted to trade visitors, and the doors being thrown open to the public on Saturday and Sunday.
Speaking of being at the NEC this weekend, Lynch said “I'm really looking forward to appearing at the Autosport International Show this weekend and am excited about the prospect of launching our challenge on the Swift Sport Rallycross Championship.”
“The car looks fantastic in the new livery we will be revealing at the NEC and I've got to thank Lucas Oils and all my sponsors for making it happen”, added Lynch.
After battling throughout the 2010 with Dave Bellerby, Lynch will begin his 2011 rivalry before the season even gets underway, as Bellerby joins him in action at the show.
Speaking of his appearance at the show, and the presence of Bellerby, Lynch said “Being asked to appear in the Live Action Arena to represent British Rallycross is an honour and it's a good chance to get one over on Dave before the season starts!”.
Joining Lucas Oils in backing Lynch’s running in the Swift Championship are Pemberton Tyres and Sign-Tec, Procare, Delmo Salvage, Rye Motors, Appollon Music, Enfield Street Bakery and Bloor Homes.
