Amongst the throng of teams unveiling their new cars before the start of pre-season testing, Toro Rosso were in the pit lane with drivers Sebastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari to reveal the new STR 6.
The car, which Toro Rosso will use to contest the upcoming Formula 1 season, sports a livery that is very similar to its predecessor, but the 2011 regulations mean that it differs radically under the paintwork.
The team say that this year’s design is less conservative than 2010 and also includes the new driver-adjustable rear-wing and the return of KERS. Consigned to history is the double diffuser and the blown rear-wing (or F-duct).
Starting today, the car will undergo a busy few weeks of pre-season testing before it appears on the grid for the Bahrain Grand Prix on 13th March.
