Perfetti Joins Motorbase For Carrera Cup Season

1 Mins read

Swiss driver Daniele Perfetti has become the fifth driver confirmed at Motorbase Performance for the upcoming Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain season. He will contest the Pro-am2 category in the series.

“I moved to London recently so it's nice to race here,” said Perfetti. “Motorbase is a local team and it has many good customers, so it must do a good job.”

“I feel at home with the team from the start.”

Previously Perfetti has raced in the Italian Carrera Cup, as well as the Italian Clio Cup championship. He is due to get his first run behind the wheel of a Motorbase prepared Porsche on March 17 at Donington Park, before testing again at the championship's media day at Snetterton on March 22.

With today's announcement Motorbase boss Dave Bartrum says the team – which also includes overall title hopefuls Tim Harvey and Michael Caine – has capacity for one more driver this season.

The first races of the 2011 are at Brands Hatch over April 2-3.
