Problems For Toro Rosso As Final Test Gets Underway

1 Mins read

A failing component on Sebastien Buemi‘s car caused damage to a tyre and the car itself, limiting Toro Rosso‘s track time on the first day of the final pre-season test in Barcelona.

The problem occurred this morning after just a couple of laps, and repairs took the rest of the morning. Buemi recovered to complete 48 laps, and finished the day as the eleventh fastest in driver.

The team spent the day working on aero measurements and front wing evaluation, although the cold wind and stiff breeze in Eastern Spain meant that conditions were not ideal for this type of work.

Buemi returns to the car tomorrow before team-mate Jaime Alguersuari takes over testing duties on Thursday and Friday.
