Fortec Motorsport's Alex Lynn took victory in Round three of the Formula Renault UK Championship, but a disqualification after Round four saw main rival Tio Ellinas cut his championship lead after taking his debut series win in the race.
The first race saw Lynn drive away to a lights to flag win, with Atech Reid GP's Ellinas making an early challenge, before settling for second. Third went to Fortec Motorsport's Oliver Rowland, who took the Graduate Cup win in the process. Pushing him close was Jack Hawksworth, ahead of Manor Competition trio Ollie Millroy, Josh Hill and Jordan King. Completing the top ten were Mitchell Gilbert, Alice Powell and Antel Motorsport's Dan Wells, with Oscar King the final finisher.
Race two saw Ellinas on pole and a good start for the Cypriot saw him hold off Lynn. The duo continued to battle throughout, but Ellinas held on for the win. Lynn took second on the road, but was later disqualified from the race due to a technical infringement, believed to be a too long wishbone on his car.
Gifted second place was Mark Burdett's Motorsport Hawksworth, who had finished fourth, but saw the original third place finisher Rowland also disqualified for the same infringement as his team-mate Lynn. Moving into third and taking the Graduate Cup win was Powell, followed by Manor team mates, Millroy, Hill and King, with Oscar King and Pedro Pablo Calbimonte completing the finishers.
