Force India have this evening said that Adrian Sutil will be driving for them this weekend in Spain.
In a brief statement, the Silverstone-based team said that it ‘remains fully committed to its driver line-up” at the Spanish Grand Prix.
Sutil is to face a criminal complaint for grievous bodily harm from Eric Lux, CEO of Genji Capital, owners of the Renault team. It relates to an alleged incident that took place in a Shanghai nightclub after the Chinese Grand Prix this year.
Autosport.com today reported that Sutil’s manager Manfred Zimmerman will do everything possible to clear his name, and that he remains focused on preparations for the forthcoming races in Spain and Monaco.
“Force India Formula One Team is aware of the statements made by both its driver, Adrian Sutil, and Mr. Eric Lux of Genii Capital, pertaining to events following the Chinese Grand Prix,” said tonight’s statement from the team.
“Although the team continues to monitor the situation, it remains fully committed to its driver line-up at this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix.”
