Vervisch Returns To Superleague Formula

1 Mins read

Frederic Vervisch will return to Superleague Formula in 2011. The 24-year-old Belgian racer competed in the second half of the 2010 season, representing former series champions Liverpool FC.

Vervisch has now re-signed with the same Atech Reid GP team that ran his car last year. He will race in the colours of Luxembourg in the eight-round season.

“I am really happy to have secured a deal to race with Atech Reid GP to race in the Superleague Formula Nations Cup for the full series this year,” said Vervisch. “Even though I only raced in selected rounds at the end of the 2010 season, we still managed to finish in the top 10 in the championship, take 3 race podiums and a Super Final win. This year I will have the chance to race from round one and I am sure there will be more podiums to celebrate.”

Team principals Anthony Reid and David Hayle are pleased to have secured Vervisch's services ahead of the opening round of the 2011 season at Assen this weekend.

“We are anticipating a positive start to the 2011 Superleague Formula Nations cup season and are really excited to have re-signed Frederic,” said Reid. “He is a real talent and we enjoyed working with him last year.”

Hayle added: “Everyone in the team has been working really hard over the winter months to prepare the cars ready for round one and we are pleased that Frederic will be with us in Assen.”
