The Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi will host the season finale of this year's Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, it has been announced.
Two races will be held in support of the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on the 12th and 13th of November. They will replace the two rounds scheduled for Bahrain in March at the beginning of the season, which were cancelled along with the Formula 1 Grand Prix due to the unrest in the Gulf state.
“Our teams look forward to returning to Abu Dhabi,” said Uwe Brettel, Head of Motorsport Sales at Porsche. “And we can offer our partners and sponsors a real highlight to conclude an exciting and interesting season.”
The Supercup previously visited the United Arab Emirates venue in 2009 for the final races of the season. Rene Rast and Jeroen Bleekemolen picked up the two victories.
